From a Six-Day Visit to a New Chapter: Building Valleytop Communications in Finland

As the year 2025 comes to an end I cannot help but reflect in the journey and the milestones achieved this year, from scaling user growth to pivoting and increased website daily visits, and yes my late November business trip from Lagos to Helsinki and back!

My relationship with Finland developed through a LinkedIn connection and friend Juudit Manner who has now grown to become an Advisor for Valleytop Communications. After coming on Board sometime in January this year along with another exceptionally brilliant personality Corina Maiwald, we jointly planned, strategized and scaled Valutok, and further agreed that it would be good for my Global vision for the business if we incorporated in Europe, specifically in Finland where both ladies are based.

I eventually embarked on a six-day visit to Finland to observe, learn, listen and properly understand a technology ecosystem I had long admired from a distance. What I did not anticipate was how deeply those six days would shape the next phase of my entrepreneurial journey.
Today, Valleytop Communications Finland Oy is officially established and visible, operating from Tampere, Finland. And with that, a new chapter has opened, one built on experience, intention, trusted guidance, and a long-term global vision.

Six Days That Clarified Years of Thinking

When you are building across continents, clarity does not always come from boardrooms or spreadsheets. Sometimes it comes from walking unfamiliar streets, attending conversations where you are not the loudest voice in the room, and observing how systems actually work on the ground.
During my six days in Finland, I did exactly that.
I met ecosystem operators, founders, and professionals who approach technology with a calm confidence not driven by hype, but by structure, trust, and execution. I saw firsthand how startups are treated not as shortcuts to quick exits, but as long-term institutions that must earn their place and that mindset resonated deeply with me.
As someone who has built through uncertainty, bootstrapped through difficult markets, and learned technology not from theory but from necessity, Finland felt less like a foreign destination and more like a place where my philosophy of building finally had a natural home.

Slush: More Than an Event

One of the defining moments of that visit was attending Slush, one of the world’s most influential, highly organized startup and technology gatherings.
Slush is not just about stages, lighting, or investor buzz. It is about signal over noise.
At Slush, conversations are direct. Questions are thoughtful. Ideas are tested, not applauded blindly. For a founder, that environment is refreshing and grounding. It forces you to articulate not just what you are building, but why it deserves to exist.
Walking through Slush, attending multiple side events, engaging with founders and investors from different continents and observing how seriously technology is treated in Finland reinforced something I already believed, that sustainable companies are built where credibility, compliance, and clarity matter.
That realization stayed with me long after the six days ended.

The Power of having the Right Advisors

While personal conviction is important, no serious company is built alone.
None of what followed the incorporation, the strategic positioning, the navigation of Finnish systems, or the confidence to commit long term would have been as smooth or as grounded without the guidance of two exceptional individuals: Juudit Manner and Corina Maiwald.
In January 2025, Juudit and Corina formally joined the Advisory Board of Valleytop Communications. Their involvement marked a turning point because they brought clarity and a European perspective.

Juudit Manner brings deep insight into the Finnish business environment, governance expectations, and ecosystem dynamics. Her guidance has been instrumental in ensuring that Valleytop Communications Finland Oy is built not just to exist, but to belong fully compliant, culturally aligned, and institutionally credible.

Corina Maiwald brings a complementary perspective shaped by international experience, strategic thinking, and an intuitive understanding of how early-stage companies must balance ambition with discipline. Her counsel has consistently challenged assumptions while reinforcing long-term thinking.
Together, they have acted not merely as advisors, but as anchors, ensuring that decisions are thoughtful, well-sequenced, and sustainable.

Continuity, Not Reinvention

Valleytop Communications Finland Oy did not appear out of nowhere.
It is an extension not a replacement of years of hard work carried out across Nigeria and the United States under the Valleytop Communications umbrella. The Finnish entity exists to provide a European base for operations, partnerships, and growth, while maintaining continuity with the company’s broader global structure.
This continuity is important.
Too often, founders feel pressured to “start over” when entering new markets. I chose a different path — one that respects the past while building for the future. Valleytop Communications Finland Oy exists because the product, the vision, and the operational discipline were already in motion.
Finland now provides the right environment to scale responsibly and the advisory guidance to do so correctly.

Visibility That Matters

Recently, Valleytop Communications Finland Oy became publicly visible across search and business listings. Seeing the company accurately described from its Tampere address to its focus on software development and social media technologies was a quiet but meaningful confirmation that the foundation is being recognized.
More importantly, the association was clear:

In a world where perception often precedes conversation, this clarity matters. It ensures that investors, partners, regulators, and collaborators understand exactly who is building, what is being built, and where it is anchored.
Visibility is not about ego.It is about trust.

Valutok: The Platform at the Center

At the core of Valleytop Communications is Valutok, a social networking platform designed to give visibility to businesses, creators, and entrepreneurs who want meaningful reach not just algorithmic luck.
Valutok was born from lived experience: watching great businesses struggle to be seen, creators drown in crowded platforms, and entrepreneurs lose momentum not because of poor ideas, but because of poor exposure.
The Finnish chapter of Valleytop Communications strengthens Valutok’s future by anchoring its development within an ecosystem that values:
Performance and scalability
Ethical data practices
Product clarity
Long-term user trust
This is not about chasing trends. It is about building infrastructure that lasts.

Why Finland, Long Term

Finland represents stability, order and innovation that is measured, thoughtful, and globally respected.
Establishing Valleytop Communications Finland Oy is a strategic commitment to building a company that can stand scrutiny anywhere in the world. It is also a signal that the next phase of growth will be structured, compliant, and internationally credible.
For me personally, it represents alignment: between how I think, how I build, and where I build, supported by advisors who understand both the terrain and the stakes.

Leadership, Learning, and the Long Game

I often say that I no longer measure progress by speed alone, but by direction.
The six-day visit to Finland, the experience at Slush, the establishment of a strong advisory board in January 2025, and the formal incorporation of Valleytop Communications Finland Oy by December all point in the same direction, forward with intention.
As Founder and CEO, my responsibility is not just to launch products, but to build institutions. Institutions that can survive leadership transitions, market cycles, and technological shifts.
That is the standard I hold myself to and that is the standard Valleytop Communications is being built on.

Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond

It will be an New Year in a matter of days and there is work ahead, product refinement, team growth, partnerships, and responsible scaling. There will be challenges and that is expected, but the difference now is clarity of base, clarity of structure, and clarity of counsel.
From a six-day visit to a lasting presence, from individual conviction to collective wisdom, Finland has become more than a destination. It has become part of the Valleytop story.
And this story is only just beginning.
